More stuff to donate

We spent some time straightening the bedrooms yesterday. I went through the stuff in the guest room behind the bed (which we have been keeping slanted in the corner so there is room to stack stuff behind it!)

Anyway I managed to part with:

Baby foam pad for bath
2 Crib Bumper sets
1 pair toddler sandals
12345 toddler jack in the box
1 crib music box
1 large living room
2 baby toys (one pull toy; 1 little people barn)
Womens clothes:
3 dresses (one a minidress I had from my Punk days in 1984 or so!
5 prs jeans
12 blouses
4 pairs of pants
3 pairs of shorts
1 pair suede sandals- purple birk style, hardly worn ....hurt my feet

Mike parted with
4 home taped vcr tapes


I didn't manage to part with several vintage (and some extremely worn out) punk shirts among them:
Iggy and his first band from high school
Clash (from the Rock the Casbah tour)
Pretenders from circa 1980 tour
Elvis Hitler (a local punk band from the 80s in Detroit scene)

I also didnt toss the Queen sized dust ruffle (never used)

Do you think I could sew some material around the top above the green part and use it on my double bed that I have on Risers?

I spent 4 hours cleaning my room Sunday

I moved everything, dusted the blinds, washed the woodwork and the wood floors. I ddint do much dejunking though, but it felt good to get rid of so much grime.

I cleaned out the bottom of my bedroom closet today - I have been so successful in finding Clarks type shoes for work, it was tiem to get rid of shoes that I never wear, or perhaps shouldn't have been wearing.

3 more bags brought in today

And another $35 spent.

What can I say...I got myself 2 pairs of pants - one a Lane Bryant size 16 in a burgandy with the modern lower style cut for $3 and another more casual Old Navy Green low cut Capris for $5.

I also got a pair of sunglasses for $1; a cute shirtdress for Jamie for $1 another fancier pink chiffon drees for her for $1.50; a bag of cosmetic bags for $2; a princess bag for $1 and 2 tabletop sets of drawers/jewelry boxes for Jamie - one larger one for $6 (that one may go to me) that holds necklaces & jewelry; and another pink one with four little drawers for either her hair pulls or her jewelry for $4.

Hmmm that only adds up to $26 so who knows what else.

I need to stop.

I love this article on stress reducing tips. But first let me tell you...

Thursday while Jamie and I were stranded without a car because Mike's vehicle wouldn't go forward I got a call from my mom. She asked for a ride to the Dr. I told her we were stranded without a car, and she said ok, and hung up. I felt bad but just thought she had bronchitus as she often gets, as her voice sounded really rough.

Later on that day her friend called and said mom had been rushed to the hospital and they almost had to put her on Life support. It appears her heart valve gave out. We found out this valve was faulty last month when she got in the accident. It appears that it caused her to black out and hit that car. So we were on the right track to getting it replaced. We went to the heart dr. and had an appt with the heart surgeon coming up. It just didn't last as long as we had hoped I guess.

So she is in CCU (Critical Care) unable to talk above a whisper and on oxygen anyway. So I have been visiting her several times daily and back and forth to her apartment as well. Thank god she has caring neighbors who actually convinced mom that EMT needed to be called. (She just was asking for a ride to the dr). Also the nice neighbors are feeding the cat. I just need to go by there and scoop the poop.

But I also need to do chores for my mom that she has been putting off such as calling about her ticket she got from the accident and following up about her mobile home and take care of her bills, and so on...

Anyway Friday when I was in the middle of all of this fun, I got a succinct email from my boss.

I know its been awhile, but here is what I managed to pull out of my closet. I am bringing bags of stuff home so I need to get bags of stuff out of here!
